Challenge Question #4: How many pesos to visit the sanctuary?

Question: How many pesos does it cost for a child and an adult to visit a monarch sanctuary? Which costs more, a movie or a trip to see the butterflies?

Answer: A ticket for a niño (child) is 10 pesos. This equals 93 U.S. cents or 92 Canadian cents.

A ticket for an adulto (adult) is 15 pesos. This equals $1.40 U.S. dollars or $1.39 Canadian dollars.

For both to enter, it would cost $2.33 U.S. dollars or $2.31 Canadian dollars.

"A movie would cost much more, at around $7.00-$9.00," noted Mrs. Busher's students at Colonial Elementary in Virginia.

"A movie for two costs about $15.00 so it's a great value!" agrees Mr. Herriott's 4th grade class in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
