Stopping to Eat
Monarchs can eat nectar from a wide variety of flowers. Unlike monarch caterpillars, who are specialists and eat only milkweed, adult monarchs are generalists. As they migrate to Mexico, monarchs must travel through diverse landscapes with a wide variety of flowers.
