Hello, Hola et Bonjour to Journey North Friends,
We see that some of our Joyceville Monarchs are now living in Virginia!
Thank you for taking care of them!
Our Grade 2/3 class of 24 students in Joyceville, Ontario received a package
of beautiful Symbolic Monarch Butterflies from a Mexican student named Jesus
Rodiriques Moran. He is in the 5th Grade in Escuela Miguel Hidalgo in Mexico
City. We received three Green Tagged monarchs from Coahuila. This is our
fifth year of participating in the Symbolic North program. Each year we
receive unique and carefully designed paper monarchs which are all in a safe
binder.
My students are taking good care of their new monarchs from across North
America. They are writing pen pal letters to the students whose monarchs
included complete return addresses. We hope to hear back from everyone in
the future. Thank you Journey North for coordinating the Monarch watch and
global awareness of Mother Nature.
