Dear friends, Our class participated in the symbolic monarch migration, and
we have received monarchs BACK from overwintering in Mexico. We have been
very lucky to have several Hispanic children in the class that can
correspond in Spanish, and we have just completed a letter thanking Eder
Raul Ramirez Ortega for taking care of your butterflies. We will be glad to
E-Mail information about him and his address if you'll E-Mail us! By the
way, the monarchs that flew back to us in Kentucky are beautiful! We will
care for them now. We are growing a butterfly habitat on our school campus
and raising monarch caterpillars with the hopes of increasing the monarch
population in our area. Waiting to hear from you - Mrs. McKinley's third
and fourth grade class in La Grange, Kentucky (near Louisville.)
