You Notice . . .?
Snow is falling on this robin as it sits in a leafless tree. There is some fruit hanging on the branches. Did you infer that it is late winter or early spring? Here are some clues: Robins rely on fruits and berries in the winter, but it looks like many have already been eaten. If it were fall, we would expect to see more fruits (and maybe some last leaves) on the tree. It would help to know whether there are other robins in the tree. They flock together during the winter, but don't usually do this in the spring when they're setting up territories. |
