Monarchs First Arrive Near Sanctuaries : November 2008

In mid-November the butterflies became more numerous every day.
"Whenever I looked up at the sky I could see them floating, soaring, overhead. Their shadows darted across the ground and reminded me to look up and see them. Here is a photo gallery of arrival; you can see the clusters forming as the monarchs rested in a pine forest above the town of Angangueo, their traditional 'first stop' in town where people notice them first," observed Elizabeth.
