The First Family
in the New Eastern Flock

The new flock's first parents of wild chicks are #211 and #217. Why do you think the adults have their beaks open and pointing up? They are giving the unison call to say "We're a pair." Do you see their leg bands with their banding-code colors?

Their smaller chick stays close to them. The bigger chick has gone wandering.
