Red-Flowering Currant Attracts Early Hummers
On March 29th, Nancy from Zigzag, Oregon reported, "Heard the hummer yesterday, but saw her today. Red-flowering currant is in bloom for her." Ribes sanguineum (red-flowering currant) is a species of flowering plant in the family Grossulariaceae, native to western coastal North America from central British Columbia south to central California.
