Did you notice that . . . 1. The earlier March reports show Rufous hummingbirds along the coast at low elevations. 2. The later April reports show them inland at higher elevations. Why do you think they headed inland? Why didn't they go east earlier? Hint: Temperatures change as you get higher in elevation. Let's take a look from space!
