Whale-sized Fun!
Students in Ms. Flanagan's class at Hinckley-Big Rock Elementary School (Hinckley, IL) had a BIG idea. They made a poster the actual length of a gray whale. Then they filled it with facts found through research! Students continue to add to the poster as they find more information. The ever-growing poster hangs outside of their Learning Center where other classes can read about the gray whale. "The students were very disappointed when I told them we couldn't travel to California from Illinois for a field trip. I wish we could!" said Ms. Flanagan.
