Greetings from Peter "Eagleye" Nye
Continued...

We are involved in a multi-year study in partnership with the National Park Service (Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River). We want to define essential habitats used by eagles along the Upper Delaware. Along the way, thanks to advanced satellite tracking, we will also be getting some interesting migration information, which is where you all come in.

I encourage all of you to dig into the archives to refresh your memories about the three bald eagles we captured along the Delaware during the winter of 2006 that we are still tracking. It will be interesting for you to compare these eagle’s movements from this year to past years. We also introduce to you this winter, two new eagles, just captured, to add to the intrigue. Both are adult females (as are the other three....), but one is a golden eagle this year.

Joining me in this years study are staff and volunteers, John Brennan, Glenn Hewitt, Kathy Maloney, Scott Rando, and Scott VanArsdale. Hope you enjoy the trip!
