  • Sunshine 24 Hours a Day, But No Tulips Yet!

    May 24, 1997

    Dear Journey North,

It is still winter here. It was snowing here yesterday. Can you believe it!?

    • The snow hasnīt melted yet; there are about 25 cm snow left above our garden and 45 cm in the forest. This is a late spring.
    • So the tulips havenīt emerged yet.
    • The sun doesn't set any more (wonderful!)
    • The last school day is Saturday, May 31st, 1997
    • I think the tulips will emerge in mid-June and bloom in the end of the month.

I just changed my desktop wallpaper into a warm shade of Mexican Stucco - just to feel a little bit like summer.

    Best regards,
