Robin Migration Update: April 29, 1997

According to our observers in Alaska, the first robins arrived on April 5th:

"Walking back from the dog yard I observed the first Robin of the season flying through the spruce trees surrounding my house. I have also received a few reports of Robins appearing at local bird feeders. It seems that spring has sprung!" (Healy borders Denali National Park in Alaska!) That same week, Mike Sterling saw his first robin outside of Anchorage:

"There is one, lone robin sitting in a tree outside my window as I type. He (I assume it is a "he") is advertising his presence with a voice that would wake the dead."
