      Dr. David Aborn

Migratory songbirds are now flooding north across the U.S. border from their southern wintering grounds. Our Texas-based ornithologist & weather correspondent, Dr. David Aborn has been providing weekly "Weather Forecasts for the Birds". He is now ready for your questions about neotropical migratory songbirds. (Birds that breeds in North America and spend the winter south of the U.S. border are known as "neotropical migrants". Since many of these songbird species are in decline, we greet them back from their long journeys each year with renewed appreciation.)

      • Why do so many songbirds fly at night?
      • How do they navigate?
      • Why are their numbers declining?
      • How long does a hummingbird live?

Send your questions about these special songbirds to Dr. Aborn now through May 5, 1997
