Sorry, that's not Popocatépetl!

The volcano you chose is also a "steep-sided" stratovolcano, the type usually found at convergent margins. But Popocatépetl's name, an Aztec word meaning "smoking mountain," suggests that it can be found in the Americas. Popocatépetl is starred on the map below. It's a stratovolcano on a convergent margin, 55 kilometers from Mexico City.
