Converting English Volumes
Example #1: Converting 24 ounces to cups.

STEP 1: Write out the measurement to be converted (24 oz), and then write the conversion factor. The unit "ounces" will be in the denominator and the unit that you are converting to, "cups," will be in the numerator.

STEP 2: Cancel out the identical units
(Hint: Cross out "oz").

STEP 3: Now multiply, and divide:
