Test Your Knowledge About Hazardous Waste in Your Home

Where does hazardous waste come from? You may be surprised to find out that it's not just an industrial problem. Many sources of hazardous waste can be found in your own home.

Some of the items to the left need special disposal. See if you can determine which items are hazardous, which can be recycled, which can be disposed of with the regular household trash, and which should be washed down the drain.

To begin, click on any item. When you're done, check your answers to find out if you've disposed of things properly.
