DQ1: From Session 1 - Questions to write and reflect
about: If you were asked by a colleague to explain the
value of the standards, what would you say?
Liz's Response: I would offer that the standards
provide a direct, non-passive approach to teaching
math. This helps to ensure that intructors teach math
applications so that students can investigate problems
with a direct approach. Studenta can then understand
the results in a way that provides learning and
further application in and out of the classroom.
