Just finished Lesson 2 - Communication. I pair my students. They sit at tables for 2. They keep math journals and have to anwer critical thinking questions. I also pose open ended questions that "expose" their understanding.
I like the idea of having the group grade dependent upon one member's response.It would promote students helping peers to understand.
