Bose Condensate

Atoms moving in a harmonic trap occupy quantized energy levels just like electrons in an atom. Bosonic atoms at 0 K are all in the lowest possible motional energy level in the trap; thus, in the highly dilute gaseous BECs, where the particle interactions are very weak, it may be said that all of the atoms are in the same quantum state, which then takes on the properties of a single macroscopic quantum entity.
