Thousands of protesters are seen sitting at Wenceslas square in downtown Prague, Czechoslovakia, August 24, 1968, demonstrating against the Russian invasion, surrounding the statue of King Wenceslas. Some fighting is reported in the capital after the Soviet Union and four Warsaw Pact allies invaded the country.
