Session 2, Problem A8

State the compensatory principle in your own words. What type of relationship exists between the size of a measuring unit and the number of that unit needed to measure a property?
You Wrote:
The compensatory principle deals with the relationship between the size of the measuring unit and the number of units we will have. For example, 1 mile = 5, 280 ft. As the unit becomes larger, the distance will be smaller. If the unit becomes smaller, the larger the distance is noted.
