Re: [Channel-talkalgebra] Ch 7, Problem D4 - quadratic function

Pamela,

For writing a quadratic equation, you need to have at least one element in
it that is squared. It is that simple. Of course, most quadratic equations
involve more than that. Much more than that. The beauty of D4 is that you
are free to make up your own equation. Anything you want. X=2Nsquared+3N or
X=5Nsquared-8 or X=Nsquared+5 (I hope you can read that okay - I have a new
laptop and have not figured out how to type an exponential!). Whatever you
choose, you need to solve each equation, and then after you have filled out
the first column, simply find the difference between the two 'answers' in
the table, and then the difference between the next two 'answers' (to find
the second differences).

I hope this helped. Please let me know if you're still having trouble.

Leann
