[Teacher-talklearning] Session 1 The Learning Classroom

Session 1 of the Learning Classroom prompted me to go online to look for a learning inventory to use with my 11th grade students.  Most of what I found was not relevant to them (ex.  one asked for father's occupation - most of my students do not have father's in the home and those that do are not working).  I found one which was marginally useful - What are My Learning Strengths? using Gardner's multiple intelligences.  Can anyone suggest other surveys more suitable to urban students?  Thanks.
