[Channel-talklife] LS Session 6

From: Melissa McCann <mkmcc74@yahoo.com>

Some of the ideas addressed in sessions 5 and 6 would be appropriate for me to address in my sixth grade science class. When teaching about cell biology and the parts of a cell, I could incorporate genes because students will learn about chromosomes. I could also incorporate relatedness when comparing plant and animal cells. This would help students see the similarities between the two types of organisms. An in depth study of genetics occurs in eighth grade, so the topics from sessions 5 and 6 would be examined closely at that time.
