When I went over the four questions that determine where a living thing fits as far as Kingdom and Domain, I found that there was no single question that could make the determination. The questions work more like a flow chart with "if" and "then" rulings. It is necessary to find the answer to at least two or more of the questions, and sometimes there are exceptions, like in the case of algea! The sorting of living things can be complex since all living creatures are diverse.
I am attaching the questions and evidence that I used from my reading, I would like to see yours if you would like to share.
