This unit examines strategies for teaching the content learned thus far. In it, you will review the Standards in Historical Thinking that were presented in the first session. To encourage students to demonstrate Historical Thinking in the classroom, you also will be introduced to strategies for using assessment. Unit 5 activities are designed to allow you to pause in the process of examining historical content, and to consider how to incorporate the content learned in Units 1-4—as well as the Standards in Historical Thinking—into your own teaching more thoroughly and confidently.
