Student Work

This children's book about the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom was researched, written, and illustrated by one of the students featured in the Workshop 5 video. The book is the student's final project in a six - week unit focusing on the historical and cultural context of The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963.

As you review the student's work, consider the following questions:
  • What do you notice that this student did well?

  • What questions would you ask this student about his or her work?
Share your answers and read those of other workshop participants at Channel-Talk.
