ABOUT
THE SERIES: DESCRIPTION AND INFORMATION
How
to Take Part
Viewing the Workshops
These workshops are FREE. Consult the media specialist in your school,
district, college, or university to find out if you have the ability to
receive the Annenberg Channel. Also, some public access cable stations
and public television stations offer the Channel's programs to their communities,
so if your location does not have the equipment, check with your local
stations.
We encourage teachers to participate in these workshops in groups. Each
2-hour workshop will consist of a 30-minute preliminary discussion, a
60-minute televised broadcast, and a 30-minute concluding discussion.
Participants may schedule their 2-hour workshop around a direct broadcast,
or may tape the broadcasts and schedule the workshops at a more convenient
time during the same week.
Receiving Graduate Credit
Teachers who participate in the entire workshop series are eligible for
two graduate credits
from Colorado State University. Certificates of participation are available
at no cost. Contact the Channel for information.
