Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the workshops?

There are eight workshops in this series. Each two-hour workshop is structured as follows:

  • 30-minute Site Investigation (Getting Ready)
  • 60-minute Televised Broadcast
  • 30-minute Site Investigation (Going Further)

Can I watch the workshops on tape?

Yes. You may record these workshops and view them on tape at a time more convenient for you. We do encourage participants to conduct the workshop within 7-10 days of broadcast so that they may take full advantage of the on-going online discussions and activities occuring on The Next Move Web site.

Please be aware of deadlines at Colorado State University if the workshop is being taken for credit.

How much does it cost to participate?

Participating in The Next Move workshop series is FREE. Note that graduate credit from CSU carries a tuition fee.

What sort of licensing information do I need?

Please refer to our licensing information section of the Web site. You are free to tape, duplicate, and rebroadcast this series. We do ask that you complete and return the appropriate licenses.

Where can I get materials for the workshop series?

The support materials for The Next Move are available online in a Web version as well as for download in PDF.

Can we tape the series and use it in other ways?

Yes. Workshop participants in the past have taped and used the series to supplement college courses, to develop a professional development library, and to add to professional development workshops.

Are certificates of participation available?

Yes. Site Leaders will receive information concerning certificates of participation via postal mail.

How can I get the Channel?

Many local television stations or organizations in your community can receive the Channel signal, often at no cost. Check with your local:

  • public television station
  • cable company
  • community access station
  • schools, school districts, colleges or universities, and other educational organizations
