To Romeo and all,

So nice to hear from you. Hope you are continuing to inspire your
children. Had a great class today with 55 seventh graders. Did the lesson
on graphing "Flips" from the proportionality shows. Lots of interaction,
but still some kids not engaged. More and more I see that we must get
students to see that they are responsible for their own growth and
learning. They are not hurting us by not trying. But yet we must be
responsible to get inside their heads and ask, "Am I providing an activity
that is mathematically rich, interesting, and worthwhile?" I'll probably
have to sleep on this lesson for awhile before I figure out what I could
have done differently.

Keep loving what you do and definitely keep in touch.
