Re: [Channel-talkchemistry] graduate credit?
I have sent in my application and fee to Colorado State for 2 grad credits. I am working on a lesson plan, plus keeping a journal of ideas as I watch the video. Another requirement is a reflective paper on the videos and what I got out of them.
I am teaching Chemistry for the first time this fall, after teaching other sciences for a total of 14 years. I am looking forward to it, since Chemistry is my first 'love'.
The videos are giving me a dose of reality - showing the difficulty that students have in the basic chemistry ideas. So I feel that I am going in to the chemi lab with more realistic expectations and a better idea of student difficulty areas.
