Hello All,
Margie asked an important question, I want to share my response, in
part, with the group. As always, if any of this is confusing, please
reply to me personally and I will be glad to assist you.
We do not send out video tapes from this office. The way we make the
programming available for free is through the satellite broadcast
channel, and through streaming video on our Web site.
http://www.learner.org
You can also purchase the tapes from our catalog company at
800-LEARNER. You can find information about purchasing on our Web
site.
http://www.learner.org/catalog/cataloginfo.html?uid=168&sj=
They deal with many schools and education agencies, so I am sure they
take purchase orders and similar type paperwork.
You might also be able to record the programming for free. Each of
you will have potentially different local rebroadcasters, please
contact me individually and privately and I can look up that
informationf or you. If you can access a local broadcast signal, you
can record anything you see. You will need to contact your local
station directly to find out their schedule, as unfortunately, we do
not have that information. If you already know that for some reason
you cannot access a local broadcast, the last option is watching the
programming online. We are streaming things as we broadcast them,
and video on demand is in progress. Soon enough you will be able to
watch "Reactions in Chemistry" whenever you wish. This isn't
available as yet, but we are assured it will be soon. This is free
of charge, you just need to get a login to access it. (That takes a
minute and it's also free.)
Thank you all for your participation. Feel free to contact me directly.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Colleen
