Comment about Session 10
I am just about finished with Session 10. I am viewing the three levels (k-2, 3 -5, 6 -8) sequentially. I have been struck by how valuable the use of manipulatives are in making the abstract concrete and the reverse, taking the concrete to the abstract. In all cases, the language of the activity while solving with cubes or chips is the key to understanding. The richness of discovery is the verbal and visual connection.
