I really enjoyed the interactive activity of using the shapes to comply with
the description. So much language can be elicited from the comparison! I can
see a whole classroom doing it, and having the students compile the
statistics to see who did what & how (orientation, placing shapes on the
congruent side vs. a vertex, identifying possible transformations and number
of different combinations... WOW!)
Following the triangles & quadrilateral activities, I started Geometer's
Sketchpad on a second window, and had fun solving them on the computer,
instead of folding paper (I do a lot of origami, and do use it to teach).
