Topic Description: To detect light that eyes aren't able to, I have used UV beads and UV nail polish with my second graders. When discussing the beads with a teacher from Texas, I learned that the beads are coated with suntan lotion and hung on baby carrier the beads turn colors, it is time to add more lotion to the baby. I have used the beads to show undetected rays but chemical reaction can and need for lotion. The nail polish is one of the "wow" things that catches attention for the inquiry.

I am requesting more information about how “UV nail polish” is used to see different colors of light. I am trying to look at some images, but I am not able to get the lighting correct. The images are more visible under a black light, but still do not appear in their complete visibility.
