Light TalkForum: Shedding LightTopic: camera "red eye"Topic Posted by: Susan Biddle (darbid@erols.com )Organization: W.S. Peirce M.S. Date Posted: Sat Nov 27 12:02:42 US/Eastern 1999 Topic Description: How does the "reduce red eye" button on a camera work? What causes people in photographs to sometimes have a red eye?
Posted by: Belinda M. Miller (bmill6217@netscape.net ) Date posted: Tue Dec 14 21:18:34 US/Eastern 1999 Subject: Redeye Message: We discussed this in class. Redeye is caused when the light from the flash of the camera hits the blood vessels on the retina. In order to reduce redeye, the light from the flash from the camera is moved slightly so that it doesn't hit the retina.
