Students have both an individual and collective responsibility to the success of an exploration. My idea was one often heard...the coach. The student job in this metaphor is to practice, listen to advise from the coach, and be motivated to reach the goal. This metaphor is a great on for me because in my math lab, our motto is to "Accept the Challenge". I enjoyed the metaphors shared in the video tape. I am in the process of anticipating responses to the question of teaching metaphor that I emailed to several colleagues. Thanks for the growth experience! |
