| Event | American Robin |
| Date of Sighting | 03/21/97 |
| Comments | We have finally sighted the male robin today in three different locations in town. The isotherms have been -5 degrees celsius or 41 degrees f.for about 3 weeks. Although several sightings have been reported on the Kingston Radio Station we failed to observe our fine feathered friends until this passed Friday. We also observed a rather large flock of Whistler Ducks feeding in the open area of the St.Lawrence. These ducks are the last to leave in the fall and the first to return in the spring. We still have about 6inches of snow covering the ground in our area and the ice has not left the customs dock yet. However we are sure that spring is just around the corner. |
