| Comments | We saw our first robin, Saturday morning, March 8. The temperature was below freezing, but the male robins are here and vocal. This morning, March 12, the first thing we heard was robins singing. There are now quite a few and they seem to be competing. Instead of our resident cardinals, the robins are the first songsters each morning. We had about an inch or two of mushy snow Monday morning, but the robins don't seem to mind it at all. Everyone talks about seeing the robins, and we are all excited. It means spring is here. At my house I also heard the first of the spring peepers Sunday night. Another great spring sound! |
