| Comments | We still have at least 1000 monarchs in our yard and house grove. Most of the day the monarchs have been coming and going into the clover crp field and back to roosting, never all at once. We have had temps in the high 80s this afternoon with south winds at 5-10 m.p.h.. The monarchs seem to like to roost out of the wind from 3 to 30 feet up. I have also seen them roosting in flowering crabs, aspen, oaks, red pines, white pines and hazelnut bushes. We have three large flower gardens but they seem to ignore them.8-7-01 |
