| Comments | The First Monarchs Have Reached the Sanctuaries! From Angangueo, student Fernando Romero reports the news we've all been waiting for: El jueves y el viernes (21 & 22 octubre) fui a visitar el santuario "El Rosario". Hay muchas mariposas, y hay algunos arboles llenos tambien!" Students in the Mexican sanctuary region had been carefully watching the skies, ready to report the arrival of the first monarchs. On Oct. 18th, they knew the monarchs had crossed the Mexican border, and that thousands of students were waiting to hear from them! Student Luis Fernando Romero reported that day: "Las mariposas aun no han llegado a Angangueo pero espero no tarden por que aqui se dice que llegan entre al 2 y el 15 de noviembre.
