| Comments | Our second grade classroom has continued to observe and record the number of Monarchs seen each week in our local area. Beginning the week of October 5 - October 12, 1999, the boys and girls recorded a total of 233 butterflies on the migration route. We for sure have seen more this week than the week before (91). We love taking walks during the day hoping to spot a flying creature. The kids have predicted that we will have one more busy week of sightings and then it will begin to taper off as they push their way through to Mexico! |
