| Event | Monarch Migration Sighting |
| Date of Sighting | 10/03/99 |
| Comments | While on a ranch in Eden, Texas (160 miles NW of Austin), one of our Austin Area Homeschool monarch group members saw approximately 100 monarchs roosting in and flying around a large oak tree. They were also nectaring on some nearby purple wildflowers (most likely gayfeather). William said the monarchs looked in good condition. He also said the Eden area looked even drier that we are here in Austin. |
