CommentsOne second grade teacher and three students reported seeing monarchs over the September 18 - 19th weekend. The teacher, Carol Phillips reported seeing three monarchs in her garden; all the monarchs appeared to be in excellent shape, all had bright non-tatered wings. The students David, Kevin and Shannon each reported seeing monarchs in their yard, on the playground, and at the soccer field. David reported seeing three, Kevin six, and Shannon three. We also saw two very bright monarchs, wings were in excellent shape, at school on Friday, September 24th. Weather conditions for Friday were clear skies, zero precipitation during previous 24 hours, current noon temperature 23 degrees celsius, overnight low 07 degrees celsius and maximum temperature 23 degrees celsius.
