| Event | Monarch Migration Sighting |
| Date of Sighting | 09/12/99 |
| Comments | From around 9:00 a.m. to noon, I saw monarchs flying west, across Rackliff Bay to the shore of Maine. They were flying in a steady stream, usually in groups of 4-10 monarchs. The weather was sunny, temperature was in the upper 60's, and the wind was from the north and light--about 5 m.p.h.
Today(9/13)there are far fewer monarchs, only a straggler can be seen occasionally--clearly the major movement took place yesterday. |
