Today there are close to 100 chrysalides hanging from the lids of their containers, with another 50 in the "J" stage. There are still some caterpillars in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th instar stages of development. The first caterpillars began pupating on Sunday April 22nd, so I look to May 9th for our first release of Ms. Monarch’s babies.
