This morning I fed Ms. Monarch some sugar water nectar, and placed a small milkweed plant in with her. Within a few minutes she was laying eggs. In about an hour, she has laid 34 eggs. It will be interesting to see if she can match the record number laid by Ms. Monarch 2006. Ms. Monarch 2007 had a busy day. She went on to lay a total of 161 eggs by Weds. morning (April 4) when I counted them at 7:30 CDT.
