Good morning from spring in Juneau!

I have seen two hummingbirds on my way to work, two days in a row (3/21 and 3/22 at 7:30 a.m.)

Early Sighting!
Should this record remain on the map?

Evaluate the Evidence and help us decide.

The little guys darted in front of my car into the woods next to our house and down the driveway where I work. I didn't have time to get a good look at them other than it was clear they were hummingbirds.

It was about 34 degrees in the valley and 50 degrees F downtown at 8:00 a.m.! I saw both hummingbirds in the valley. (I can't recall if there was any wind.)

I haven't noticed any hummingbird feeders up, but the Canada geese are back in large numers. They seem to show up when hummingbirds do. I also had a couple of purple crocus coming up in my garden about that time . . . through the snow! I can't recall whether it was windy.

I notice birds every day; it's hard not to here! I'm not a professional, just interested. This is the first I've reported to Journey North.
