| Event | Monarch Migration Sighting |
| Date of Sighting | 08/19/04 |
| Comments | Today and yesterday, spotted 4 monarchs, midday, traveling solo on the gusty N/NW breezes. (up to 30 mph). Sunny, near 70 both days. These few monarchs all were nectaring on neighborhood gardens along the tree line near our walking/bike trail. All four were moving in a southwest direction. All seemed to be newborn adults, brightly orange. My son netted a male and we labeled it with his initials as all my tags were at school. If you happen to see a monarch with JDK on its discal cell, let me know how far he got! Migration Highlight |
